DUBAI: Sudheer Bahl, owner of the award-winning Khyber restaurant in Mumbai, was joined by Abdulla Bin Sulayem, CEO of Seven Tides; and Mr Vipul, Consul General of India in Dubai; as they officially opened the new Khyber restaurant in DUKES Dubai, in the company of VIPs, dignitaries and business leaders.
This is the first venue to open under the Khyber brand name outside of its native Mumbai, and is located on the 15th floor of DUKES Dubai, on Palm Jumeirah. The five-star Indian hideaway boasts162 covers (including space for 40 diners on the terrace), as well as a live cooking station and numerous private dining options. It also has an unrivalled 180-degree view that takes in the Palm Jumeirah, Burj Al Arab and the Dubai Marina skyline.
The Khyber restaurant in Mumbai is a favourite of Sir Paul McCartney, Amir Khan, Richard Gere, Demi Moore and the Kuwait Royal Family, among others. Aiming to emulate similar success here in Dubai, the restaurant specialises in authentic north Indian frontier food, best described as Ambrosia – which according to ancient Greek mythology was the food of the Olympian gods, providing them with immortality.
