KARACHI: The city’s most fashionable glitterati congregated this Wednesday when Dubai-based e-commerce site, Fashsouq.com held a launch in Karachi at The Deli restaurant on the 8th of November, 2017. The online start-up sells luxury brands based in the UAE as well as across Europe on their website – www.fashsouq.com.
The launch – a high tea event – included a make over station for guests to try out make-up brands that the site offers including products from Huda Beauty and Fenty Beauty. The brand displayed clothing from a mix of high street and high end labels such as Alexander McQueen, Gucci, Zara and Mango. An accessories display was also set up for shoes and bags from brands including Sophia Webster, Stella McCartney, Zara and Mango.
Fashsouq’s brands include Gucci, Alexander McQueen, Valentino as well as popular high street brands such as Zara, Massimo Dutti and H&M. Fashsouq.com also represents a range of beauty brands such as Huda Beauty, Anastasia Beverly Hills, YSL Cosmetics, Benefit Cosmetics, Kylie Cosmetics and Beautyblender.
While using Dubai’s central location as its hub, the retail site focuses on delivering its wide range of clothing, accessories and beauty products to the surrounding Middle East region as well as Pakistan. Founder and CEO of fashsouq.com, UAE-based Pakistani Ali Ahmed launched the site as a solution to the retail limitations of the region.
“Practically hordes of shoppers travel from other countries in the middle east and from India and Pakistan to Dubai just with the sole purpose to shop. With this site, I’m hoping to take Dubai to them.”
The brand also introduceditsiOS and android app as well as its Loyalty Programme at the launch.
The event was curated by the indomitable Frieha Altaf under the banner of her own Catwalk Event Management and Productions with PR services by her Catalyst Public Relations. News Desk
