KARACHI: Dolmen Mall, Pakistan’s first international standard mall, paid tribute to the founder of Pakistan; Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah on his birth anniversary during the 25th year of Dolmen Shopping Festival.
Dolmen Mall collaborated with Art TV Pakistan and presented live art tributes from famous artists like Aftab Zafar, A.Q Arif, Arif Ansari, Farrukh Shahab and Feica. Quaid’s portraits, paintings and caricatures adorned the stage at the Dolmen Mall Clifton.
Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy also marked her presence by paying homage through a showcase of the mass migration that took place in 1947 as a result of the birth of Pakistan. SOC films, in collaboration with the British Council put together photographs and installations at Dolmen Mall Clifton to remember the journey of migrants to a new homeland.
Dolmen Mall, GM Marketing Naureen A Khan expressed her thoughts on the tribute as: ‘Freedom is a liberty we enjoy because of our founder. On occasion of the 25th Dolmen Shopping Festival, we want to encourage mall visitors to join us in paying homage to our founder through gratitude and recollection.”
Dolmen Mall celebrates its 25th Dolmen Shopping Festival from 22 December – 7 January at all three malls. Silver jubilee celebrations include a host activities for customers through specially created carnival games, flash sales and discounts on leading brands, cultural, winter and food bazaars along with chances to win a grand prize of Rs. 2.5 million through daily draws on shopping of Rs. 5,000 or more.
