Pakistan’s first donor advised fund celebrates 10 Years of service to the Nation

KARACHI: On 10th Anniversary of i-Care, Pakistan’s first Donor Advisory Fund supporting 100 charities celebrated its decade long service to the nation by recognizing the contributions of its six partner charities. These charities were recognized for their positive social impact in the society. During the ceremony i-Care Awards 2017 were awarded to AMAN Foundation, Family Educational Services Foundation, Green Crescent Trust, Patients’ Aid Foundation, Professional Education Foundation, and Rashid Memorial Welfare Organization.

Chairman i-Care, Mr. Farrokh K. Captain on this occasion offered his heartfelt appreciation to all partner charities for their trust and confidence in i-Care and wished that our relationship continues to grow so we can, together reach more vulnerable people and connect them with innovative cutting edge development services of our partner charities throughout the country.

Dr. Ishrat Hussain, the former governor of State Bank of Pakistan, graced the occasion as chief guest. He praised the role played by i-Care as a trusted bridge between the civil society and the Pakistani diaspora so eager to participate in the country’s overall development. He praised i-Care’s mission to improve the quality of life for underprivileged Pakistanis. This is achieved through increased philanthropic support offered to deserving charities, so that they are able to improve their capacity for service delivery.

On behalf of the chairman and trustees of the board, the chief guest awarded the i-Care Award to Faisal Farooq Khan for his honorable and effective service to the society during his tenure as the CEO of The i-Care Foundation.

The i-Care Foundation, Pakistan’s first ever Donor Advised Fund was established on 18 January 2008. Since its inception The i-Care Foundation has managed 1.75 billion rupees in donations distributing them to 100 different charities, benefitting over 1.5 million people across Pakistan. News Desk
