Speaking on the occasion Nasira Faiz said “SIP will also allow us to set up intergenerational programmes with The AMI Preschool and Daycare Centre which have shown to greatly benefit both – young children and seniors!” Rabeea Minai said, “We are hopeful that our proposed and ongoing activities will encourage like-minded people to start pursuing hobbies, enjoy exercises of both mind and body, and learn new skills, or volunteer time for their communities.”
The host of the evening, Narmeen Aamir of STARLNKS PR, then introduced the next speaker, Asif Azad — a wellness instructor who will be available for those members who wish to avail his services — who spoke on meditation.
A humorous take on the two generations where the older generation is trying to come to terms with the idiosyncrasies of the other, and vice versa, and ending up with both realizing the value each brings to their lives, then followed in the form of a light skit. The actors were Usman Mazhar, Natalya Gul and Atif Badar, all theatre actors.
Ibaadullah Sheikh, another instructor on the panel of SIP, then enlightened the guests about Qi Gong. A heartening and engrossing session of Tambola followed, and prizes were distributed to the three winners.
