Dr. Sanjay Massey, Specialist Internal Medicine from NMC Medical Centre addressed the attendees on what are the various types of respiratory illnesses, causes, symptoms and cures to avert a major mishap.
As part of the property’s Responsible Awareness Program, the initiative helped to provide vital information to educate employees on healthy living. Each year during the cold and flu season, there is a dramatic increase in absenteeism rates for employees. Medical experts’ are putting in a lot of efforts to increase awareness of the debilitating breathing conditions to help individuals improve their quality of their life.
About 3.7 per cent of the UAE population suffers from Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease, according to a 2011 study by Zayed Military Hospital.
