DUBAI: The Emirates Group returned once again to Careers UAE 2018 with new and distinctive career opportunities for UAE Nationals. An employer-of-choice for Emiratis, the group has recently unveiled a campaign that recognises the “unsung heroes” within the workforce – the individuals who work tirelessly behind the scenes to contribute to Emirates’ success story in roles that may not be as obviously associated with the aviation business as flight crew or engineers.
The campaign, which commenced last week and ran on the Emirates Group’s National Recruitment Instagram account, Rehlaty, features the stories of Emirati employees representing distinctive roles.
“The world of aviation is far more expansive than what often meets the eye. As Careers UAE 2018 kicks off today, it’s important to showcase the broad range of roles available to Emiratis within the Emirates Group. From catering specialists, facilities managers, cargo handlers, security specialists, doctors and trainers to airport, crew and uniform supervisors and security guards, I am proud to see UAE nationals employed in a myriad of roles within the organisation,” said His Highness Sheikh Ahmed Bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman and Chief Executive, Emirates Airline & Group.
The Instagram posts and videos told the stories of six remarkable Emirati employees who dedicate their time to look after Emirates’ staff and customers.
Over the years, the Emirates Group has employed UAE Nationals in a variety of roles across the group. Whether with Emirates, the world’s largest international airline, dnata, the global air services provider or Group-wide business units such as Human Resources, IT, Procurement, Facilities Management, Internal Audit and Finance, the Emirates Group caters to all interests and educational backgrounds.
Through its Emiratisation strategy, Rehlaty, the Emirates Group sets an Emiratisation target to recruit and retain UAE Nationals, offering a range of career opportunities and scholarships to ensure the new recruits are well-equipped for a dynamic career with the Emirates group.
Careers UAE 2018 kicked off today at the Dubai World Trade Center. The three-day exhibition aims to expose talented UAE Nationals to a wide range of career opportunities. The Emirates Group pavilion is located in Hall 4, stand number 4C-1. BIZ TODAY REPORT
