Azme Naujawan plans closing ceremony of its Pilot Phase

KARACHI: Spearheaded by 11 organization from development sector of Karachi, Azme Naujawan is a youth capacity building training project which aims to maximize the youth’s abilities for their future through capacity building, mentoring and meaningful engagement. Also to impart a complete training that train youth with the necessary skills and knowledge. For this purpose, 7 youth centers have been established in 6 districts of Karachi where during past 6 months 1300 youth participants were under intensive training. The program specifically focuses on equipping the trained youth with the necessary skills required for making informed decisions by making them aware of how the choices they make translates into future policies.

The closing ceremony of AzmeNaujawan was set to conclude overall progress of pilot phase of AzmeNaujawan program. In addition, it served as a token of acknowledgment of efforts of consortium and AeN participants during 6 months long commitment to the program. AzmeNaujawan program and served as culmination to the work of the youth, amplifying it from a community level activity to a city-wide activity.

During the event, Participants showcased their creative side through talent performances and had a unique opportunity to exchange ideas and perspectives on youth-related issues and develop innovative solutions to crucial questions for the future.

In addition, other activities included a short presentation on AzmeNaujawan project, AzmeNaujawan next phase presentation and award ceremony for youth groups.

At the end of program, a qawwali performance was organized for the entertainment of guests, famous qawwal Mian Saifuddin and Mian Najamuddin sang soulful qawwalis and received accolades from the audience. News Desk
