Consul General of Royal Thai Consulate inaugurates Thai Food Festival at Beach Luxury Hotel

KARACHI: Mr. Suwat Kaewook, Consul General Royal of Thai Consulate in Karachi along with M. Azeem Qureshi, General Manager Beach Luxury Hotel, Karachi, Mr. Arif Suleman, President PTFA&BF and Honorary Trade Advisor, Government of Thailand and others recently inaugurated the Thai Food Festival at Beach Luxury Hotel, Karachi.

The Festival is being organized by Avari International Hotels Group in collaboration with Royal Consulate Thailand and Thai Airways International.

Talking to newsmen Mr. Suwat Kaewook congratulated the management of Beach Luxury Hotel on its 70th anniversary. He said that they were happy to be a part of the 70th anniversary celebrations of this landmark hotel. He further said that the Festival will provide the people of Karachi an opportunity to taste and savour the traditional Thai cuisine.

Earlier while talking to the media at the press conference Mr. M. Azeem Qureshi said that the festival is one of the series of events being held to celebrate 70th anniversary of Beach Luxury Hotel and on getting the status of four-star hotel after its renovation and up-gradation. He further said that the celebrations were kicked-off by holding the basant food mela recently.

He said Avari Hotels had been holding various cultural and entertainment programmes including food and literary festivals, basant mela, Pakistani, Chinese and Sri Lankan food festivals and after Ramadan Turkish Food Festival will be organized.

He said Avari Hotels Group through different initiatives had always been working to portrait green and clean Pakistan.

He was of the view that CPEC has positive impact of Pakistan hotel industry which has witnessed 40 percent increase and now one would hardly find a vacant room in any four-star and five-star hotels in Pakistan. The increasing occupancy had forced the hotel chains to expand. Avari International Hotels Group had also come up with a big expansion plan titled Avari Express Hotels. Recently, one had been set up in Multan and soon others would be set up in Faisalabad, Lahore, Rawalpindi and Murree Hills.
