Geo Television’s live Ramadan transmission “Ittehad Ramzan” was in its full glow on 16th Ramadan and topic of the 16th “Ittehad Ramzan” live was “Umm-ul-Momineen” and their roles for Islam.
This live transmission had all the Iman-Refreshers like Hamd, Naat and Tilawat-e-Quran Pak all of which were very soothing for participants of this live transmission. Qawwalies by young kids were thoroughly enjoyed by the audiences.
Geo’s “Ittehad Ramzan” is hosted by Sami Khan and this time as a special guest beautiful actress Ushna Shah was with him, both of them were seen distributing gifts and prizes to lucky winners.
Sami Khan the host of Geo Television’s live Ramadan transmission “Ittehad Ramzan” was talking to BizToday representative and said; “this live transmission is a result of an excellent team work by all that matter, it’s not an easy job by any means it requires efforts from each and every person including the audience. We have to keep up with the spirit of Roza and Ramadan with the aim to provide religious knowledge to audience present viewers all over the world. Biggest message of “Ittehad Ramzan” is unity for Muslim world. I often quote a hadith which says; all Muslims are like single body, and if any part of body feels pain, that pain echoes throughout the body. Muslims should act like a single unit and this is the main aim of this live transmission”.
Sami Khan shared with us details of the live show, and said that the segments like ‘Rabbi Ziddni Ilma’ which is a quiz competition for kids, where Hamza Zain, Anum and Umair Khursheed competing very fiercely against each other and resulting in Anum being the winner of this quiz show.
Next segment is ‘Dil Say Keh Do’, which is a debate for kids, and where we Shahbaz Ibrahim, Hafiz Abu Hurraira and Abdul Ahad Khan gave their fiery speeches on the importance of pen over sword. This segment was won by Shahbaz Ibrahim who was gifted with a brand new refrigerator.
In the segment “Jaan Kay Geo” little girl Warqa Khalid narrates different religious stories and this time around she shared a story about the importance of Sadqa and Khairat.
Next and the most important segment according to Sami Khan is, ‘Qasas Al Quran’ segment where Umair Rana and team share Islamic history in video and presentation format and this time they shared with us characteristics of Nabi-E-Kareem (Sallallah Ho Alay Hi Wasallam) and details about Ghaar-e-Hira.
In another segment titled as ‘Jazba e Khidmat’, Hussain Baksh came with his wife and kids. Hussain Buksh informed that that he has 6 kids and 4 of his kids are suffering from a rare skin disease, which if not cured timely may turn into skin cancer. He further said that this skin disease requires to be operated which is an expensive and he cannot afford right now. Doctors have advised to avoid direct exposure to Sun light and stay within cool & indoor environment. Geo Television’s live Ramadan transmission “Ittehad Ramzan” was kind enough to give them two room coolers so that these kids can stay safe from Sunlight and stay indoors in cool environment. Host appealed for donations and as a result Mrs. Altaf Haider announced to donate Rs 10,000 and an anonymous person announced to donate Rs 50,000, another anonymous caller from Saudi Arabia announced to donate Rs 50,000 and Mrs. Naheed from Lahore also announced Rs 50,000. Donations for this segment keep pouring in even after the ending of this segment.
Naheed Ansari taught how to prepare naan, paratha, dhaaba karhai, custard and during ‘Kitchen’ segment.
‘Sada-e-Hassan‘ is a of Naat competition / audition between 15 young and budding Naat Khuwaans and these Naat Khuwaans were auditioned by legendary Naat Khuwaan Owais Raza Qadri. Owais Raza Qadri selected 5 Naat Khuwaans for next round and best Naat Khuwaan of the evening was awarded a bike. Owais Raza Qadri also handed over Umra tickets to two lucky winner through balloting.
On the concluding note Sami Khan said; “This show have something for everyone, we have tried to cater to every age with only aim to change lives and today I feel that we have changed lives of few individuals.
