KARACHI: A two days workshop on ” Advanced Technologies in Water Microbiology” organised by Dadabhoy Institute of Higher Education with collaboration of Sindh Medical Store (SMS) at Main campus, DIHE on 29 – 30 June, 2018.
Sindh Medical Stores has introduced comprehensive solutions for water microbiology, GMO and mycotoxin detection and food microbiology from world’s renowned companies.
SMS partners with IDEXX Laboratories, USA when it comes to advanced technologies for water microbiology. IDEXX offers latest APHA and ISO methods for Total Coliforms, E. coli, Faecal Coliforms, Enterococcus, Pseudomonas, Cryptosporidia, Giardia and Legionella detection in all sorts of water samples and wastewater.
Theme of this workshop was based on these latest methods and demonstrations on detection of Total, Faecal Coliforms and E. coli in water samples.
Speakers were Mr Nasir Khatib, Business Unit Head, SMS – Industrial Division & Syed Zaheer, Business Development Manager, SMS – Industrial Division. All faculty of Science and students participated with very enthusiastically.
