KARACHI: In Karachi hanging out with friends and families at dhaba’s post-evening till late in the night is one of the most popular event of day be it students, professionals or and families and same was the case for Mubashir Hashmi, but at certain times he felt that spending so much amount of time and money at someone else’s dhaba’s gave away a feeling of something amiss.
After discussing same with some friends idea was clicked and then trio consisting of Mubashhir Hashmi, Abdullah Sultan and Ali Khan decided to come up with something of their own and thus idea of ‘Chai Ho Jaye’ started to come to life and chose to open their distinctive dhaba at apparently new, peaceful, nice and quiet neighbourhood of Muslim Commercial located very near Karachi’s iconic Sea View.
At the launch event of “Chai Ho Jaye”, Mubashir Hashmi one of the owner of “Chai Ho Jaye” spoke breiefly to the correspondent of BizToday about this new venture which he hoped will be like a breath of fresh air in already chocked and suffocating working and traffic conditions that persist throughout. Mubashir Hashmi said; “’Chai Ho Jaye will have its unique taste and unique eatables from all over Pakistan, for example it will have Quetta’s special chai, Lahore’s nan-khattai, Karachi’s famous lachhay-daar parathay and for first time for any dhabba we will be introducing kunnafa that too with two different flavours, one with traditional taste with cheese inside and for other one we are introducing kunnafa with chocolate flavour which will be a first time”.
Mubashir Hashmi further said; “we further plan to promote this venue for small events like talk-shows, birthdays, product-launches, meet & greet sessions with celebrities etc. etc. as we have nice and comfy outdoor ambiance that will suit these type of events.
Team BizToday was treated with Chai Ho Jaye’s signature quetta’s dhood patti and karrak chai with excellent tasting plain paratha, aalo paratha and their best paratha known as whole grain (aka lal-aattay) chicken cheese paratha, kunnafa cheese and kunnafa chocolate (Nutella).
