KARACHI: A scientific session was arranged by Department of Clinical Microbiology & Immunology, faculty of Science, Dadabhoy Institute of Higher Education in collaboration with Sind Medical Stores and their international partner, Biotecon Diagnostics, Germany at DIHE, Karachi on July 30, 2018. Speaker was Dr. Jawaid Ahmed Baig, who is a renowned food and nutrition expert from Germany and he is serving at BIOTECON Diagnostics as a Global Key Account Manager and Regional Manager for Middle East, Africa and SAARC Countries.
Dr Jawaid Ahmed Baig highlighted the importance of detection and identification of food-borne pathogens in raw, prepared and processed foods with rapid, robust and accurate technologies. BIOTECON Diagnostics focuses on the development and production of innovative, rapid detection systems for pathogens, spoilage organisms, genetically modified organisms (GMOs) and allergens by real-time PCR. These technologies are now readily available in Pakistan from Sind Medical Stores with full technical support.
The event was attended by faculty of Science, food technologists, scientists and MPhil / Ph. D Scholars.
