KARACHI: The smash hit of 2017, Balu Mahi is a Pakistani romantic comedy film which is ready for its world TV premiere on Eid-ul-Azha.

Produced by none other than Sadia Jabbar, M. Ashraf Chaudry and M. Arshad Chaudry, Balu Mahi is penned by Saad Azhar with a wonderful direction of Haissam Hussain. The film stars the handsome “Osman Khalid Butt”, the vivacious “Ainy Jaffri” and the gorgeous “Sadaf Kanwal” in lead roles. The other artists include Durdana Butt, Shafqat Cheema, Zeeshan Ali, AdeelHashmi, Khurram Pataras and Javed Sheikh.

The story revolves around Balu and Mahi. Balu crashes the wrong wedding and confesses his perpetual love to the wrong bride, Mahi, while her face is covered under ghoonghat. Mahi doesn’t want to tie the knot anyway so the bride seizes the opportunity to make a run for it and together they attempt to evade her imperious grandfather. There, the adventure of Balu Mahi starts and the story reveals how Balu gets fascinated by ebullient Mahi who is unconsciously healing his broken heart with some really amusing dialogues.

The songs are really catchy but the one that steals the show is the RahatFateh Ali Khan’s qawwali, Rang De Chunar. The perfect dance moves can’t be overlooked either; all three leads have done fine justice to the dance numbers.

The whole film is shot in Pakistan and one can’t deny the perfect sites they have picked. Be it Hunza or Lahore, the film showcases Pakistan’s real beauty.

Sadia Jabbar Productions is renowned for bringing narratives that viewers really want to watch on their screens; Balu Mahi is one of those eye-candies for movie lovers. The world TV premiere of the much loved film is slated for this Eid-ul-Azha. Balu Mahi lovers are eagerly waiting for the time and date to be unveiled. News Desk
