KARACHI: Under this MoU Signing, KPMG as a part of its CSR activities, agreed to provide pro bono services to act as the tax & financial advisors of SAF.
These services will include tax advisory on routine tax matters, assistance in tax compliances, provide financial advisory services i.e development of financial systems for the organization, development of sustainable financial models for the projects on standalone basis and preparation feasibilities for the projects, on as and when required, basis.
Global Chairman SAF, Mr. Shahid Afridi, Global CEO, SAF Mr. Zeshan Afzal and Mr. Amir Jamil Abbasi Managing Partner of KPMG jointly signed and exchanged the MoU documents. Senior officials from both sides were also present to observe proceedings from the ceremony.
Mr. Zeshan Afzal, Global CEO – SAF spoke about SAF’s initiatives and this collaboration with KPMG:
“SAF has undertaken different initiatives in Health, Clean Water and Sports Rehabilitation with a special focus on its education project”
“Further Speaking about this partnership, SAF is growing rapidly amongst all the NGOs/NPOs due to clarity of its financial systems & the support of leading audit & advisory firms of the world who are on board of SAF to serve the humanity.”
“SAF believes that crystal clear financial system is the backbone of any successful organization & this will definitely help to increase the trust level of SAF existing and prospect donor’s database.”
“SAF aims to uplift the underprivileged communities in Pakistan with the help of corporate community and especially from MNCs under their CSR initiatives”
Mr. Shahid Afridi speaking in the concluding remarks of the ceremony shared his dream and commitment towards this philanthropic career and said:
“I highly appreciate and thank the management of KPMG for entrusting and acknowledging my pledge and strive for the cause.”
“I strongly believe that all the privileged community especially the corporate sector has to come forward and contribute their part to return back to the society for which I am very grateful to the KPMG and its management for joining hands with Shahid Afridi Foundation.”

Earlier, Welcoming Mr. Shahid Afridi at their MoU signing ceremony at KPMG Office Karachi and highlighting KPMG role as a responsible corporate entity, Mr. Amir Jamil Abbasi Managing Partner of KPMG, gave a little overview about KMPG’s role in Support of SAF.
“He stated that this is not just the matter of money to serve the humanity, we can also serve them through our expertise of knowledge & technical assistance via sustainable projects. He thanked Mr. Afridi for joining hands and wishes for these collaborative efforts may produce desired results and brings betterment in the society.”
