Burjuman’s Rising Stars crowned in sparkling finale

DUBAI: The finals of BurJuman’s Rising Stars on Friday 21 September 2018 saw a spectacular line-up of performances that truly lit up the stage one last time. With judges dazzled by the calibre of the finalists, difficult decisions were made, and the winners were crowned.

At age 16, Katerina Casia was awarded the first place for her singing performance winning an AED 25,000 school scholarship, while rising stars Beulahruth Pinto and Peter Anthony Villegas won second and third place respectively for their singing skills, taking home exciting vouchers from BurJuman.

Over a period of one month, BurJuman witnessed the immense talents its younger visitors hold as around 380 children between the ages of 4 to 16 years sang and danced to their hearts’ delight as well as showcasing their talents in dramatic arts and academic field.

A panel of celebrated judges consisting of Lebanese-Romanian singer Alina K, Jay Skye from Virgin Radio, and singer and MD of Communicraft, Dharsan Shankar, were delighted by the confident performances presented on stage throughout the auditions.

The final was marked by excited cheers from the audience who filled up the main atrium to celebrate these stars in the making. City 101.6 RJ, Malavika Varadan, took the excitement to another level through her interaction with the audience and the finalists. At the end of a spectacular evening, Malavika crowned the winners and applauded them for their excellent performances. News Desk
