Mövenpick Karachi initiated a CSR campaign, Kilo of Kindness to help students of less privileged backgrounds

KARACHI: Mövenpick Hotel Karachi strongly believes in giving back to the area it operates in through supporting key social causes, especially related to education. The hotel recently took part in a global CSR campaign ‘Kilo of Kindness’ that comes under the CSR function of Mövenpick Hotels and Resorts, SHINE, which focuses on assistance of underprivileged sections of the society.

The hotel set-up a donation facility where guests and people visiting the hotel were encouraged to donate cash or learning supplies, the hotel team and management also donated generously. Some corporate partners also supported the initiative taken by the hotel such as Audionic, Bake Parlor, Unilever Food Solutions and High-Q Pharma. Mövenpick Hotel Karachi managed to donate 200 kilograms of school supplies including stationary, arts and crafts material, learning equipment etc.

“We cannot rate how one social cause is more important than the other as they all are significant and require attention but we strongly feel that education is a driving force which can make futures and benefit the whole household“ said Mirza Mansoor, General Manager, Mövenpick Hotel Karachi. ‘‘We are happy to contribute towards the educational landscape of our city and promise to take many more positive steps towards it“, he concluded.
