DUBAI: Emirates and UAE Team Emirates today helped cyclists ride high during the first day of the Dubai Fitness Challenge. Cycling enthusiasts tested their skills and casually rode with UAE Team Emirates at Al Qudra cycling track, starting at Last Exit and making their way to a sprint finish at Al Qudra Lakes and beyond.

The event included Emirates Group employees, families, as well as dedicated and recreational cyclists who had the chance to meet the UAE’s professional cycling team currently competing in the UCI World Tour.

The 30 UAE Team Emirates cyclists imparted their tips and showed other avid cyclists how to develop their skills.  The pros also engaged with recreational cyclists as well as families, joining them on shorter distance desert rides with stunning scenery in the background.

Emirates has been supporting UAE Team Emirates since 2017, in an effort to help bring the UAE to the world stage of cycling through competing in UCI World Tour events as well as promoting the UAE as a top level sports and cycling hub.

During the 30-day Dubai Fitness Challenge, the Emirates Group will also run a variety of activities, including a schedule of employee events, trainings and classes fully run by staff. There are almost 40 different sports and hobby clubs already managed and run by Emirates Group employees, ranging from football, volleyball, basketball, badminton, cricket, cycling, rugby, hockey, amongst other sports.
