ABU DHABI: Khalid Malik lends his voice for 3 Bahadur: Rise of the Warriors for the character of Khursheed.

Known primarily for his radio shows and acting, this is the second sequel featuring Malik as Khursheed. Sharing details about the role, Malik comments, “my character is Khursheed and he runs a dhaaba. He’s a very down to earth humble man and also the father of Kami (one of the 3 Bahadurs).”

“3 Bahadur is Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy’s venture which is why it can never be bad. I was interested in this animated film when I watched it the first time. I remember sitting there and while watching, I felt like a child. I felt so energized I thought I just had to be a part of this film. Lo and hold 3 Bahadur Part 2 was around the corner and I was asked to come and audition for a few parts. I ended up getting the character of Khursheed. It’s been great experience working with such a dedicated team and a committed team,” comments Malik talking about the experience of working with the team.

An animated film produced entirely in Pakistan, 3 Bahadur: Rise of the Warriors revolve around three friends Amna, Saad and Kamil in an imaginary town, Roshan Basti. The three friends have various superpowers, given to them by Deenu Chacha. A new visitor in town, Erma the warrior queen brings them enormous trouble. In a parallel universe, Deenu Chacha finds Babushka starting chaos in Roshan Basti. The 3 Bahadur set out to save the world.

Being a part of one of the few original animations Pakistan has to offer, Malik comments, “you know I have no doubt that this has already become a part of the Pakistani film history. From a business point of view, a lot of distributors and film producers have recognised that animated film is a genre worth exploring even from a business perspective. But to be a part of a select group of people who have sort of made history with animated films in Pakistan, it’s unique and it’s super special.” Says in press release
