DUBAI: Al Masaood Group recently organised a day-long event at the Al Masaood Automobiles’ flagship Service Centre for both employees and customers wishing to register to volunteer at the Special Olympics World Games 2019, taking place in Abu Dhabi for the first time.
The Special Olympics Staff Volunteering Programme is in line with the Group’s corporate commitment to present employees with opportunities to contribute their skills and knowledge to the benefit of the community. As part of the initiative, employees will continue to receive their full salary for up to four days while out of the office volunteering at the games. Al Masaood Board members and senior managers joined staff and customers in signing up during the event.

Participating in the world’s biggest humanitarian sporting event, which features twenty-two different sports disciplines, is part of Al Masaood’s CSR efforts to support people of determination by showcasing their athletic prowess on a global stage. This fully embraces the UAE’s Vision of 2021, and 2019’s ‘Year of tolerance’ theme, one aim of which is to fully integrate people of determination into the community. As an Official Partner and exclusive automotive partner of Special Olympics World Games 2019, Al Masaood, in partnership with Nissan, will supply a fleet of over 315 vehicles during the event to help transport athletes, delegations and coaches, as well as for events across the UAE leading up to the Games.
