Dubai Chamber publishes lasteEdition of ‘CSR Al Youm’ for 2018

DUBAI: The Centre for Responsible Business, an initiative of Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry, has published its sixth and final edition of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) newsletter ‘CSR Al Youm’ for 2018. The new issue contains articles and news that highlight the activities of the Centre and its role in spreading awareness about the importance of implementing CSR business practices.

The latest CSR Al Youm highlights the role of modern technologies in CSR. It contains an article by Professor Wathiq Mansoor from University of Dubai about the importance of educating innovative program engineers and how social responsibility is an important engine for the production of new technologies.

The newsletter also features an article on the UAE’s launch of the world’s first video platform, ‘Globally Great,’ which focuses on presenting productions about the country’s private and public-sector sustainability and innovation initiatives. It also contains an article on ‘Taqaddam,’ a program from commercial bank HSBC in cooperation with the British Council, which aims to strengthen the capacity and skills of the newly graduated to assist them for their entry into the labour market.

The newsletter provides updated information on CSR and its various practices in Dubai, highlights the latest initiatives on CSR and sustainability and provides tools and guidance to help businesses in the emirate integrate CSR practices into their strategies.

Launched by Dubai Chamber in 2004, the Centre for Responsible Business is the UAE’s oldest and most prominent centre for promoting the concept of CSR. The centre encourages Dubai Chamber members to implement responsible business practices that enhance their institutions’ performance, competitiveness and reputation. News Desk
