KARACHI: Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi is going to stage its first production “Nach Na Jane” with the coordination of KopyKats production from March 1, 2019 at Arts Council of Pakistan. The primer of the play held at Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi on Thursday, 3 January. The play is written by famous satirist & humorist Anwar Maqsood and it is the prequel of the famous play “Aangan Terha”.
On the occasion president Arts Council of Pakistan Muhammad Ahmed Shah, Anwar Maqsood, famous director Dawar Mahmood and actor Yasir Hussain addressed a press conference at Arts Council. Anwar Maqsood said that “Nach na Jany” is a prequel of famous play “Angan Terha” in which Yasir has been played the character of Akbar, He is back for theater after seven years and meanwhile he has been appear in the films as well.
The income of the play will to donated to those artist, writer and poets who have given their time to the art but now they are not able to earn and living a difficult life without having any job, it is now our duty to help them out in their last times. President Arts Council Muhammad Ahmed Shah said that the whole income will be donated to the artists, writer and poets. He said that we were thinking about it for a long time but we had not enough resources to facilitate them then we makes a plan with anwar Maqsood about it.
On the occasion Yasir Hussain said that he has been worked with Anwar Maqsood and he think it is a great opportunity for him to work again with Anwar Maqsood. The producer of the play Dawar Mahmood said that we will be on stage from 1st March, for the first two months the play will be staged at Karachi and then we will have a break for Ramadan and then we will go to Lahore and then Islamabad for two months respectively. Almost all the actors are new in the play, he said that he has taken audition from more than eleven thousand people and he chooses the best people for the play. BIZ TODAY REPORT
