KARACHI: Dolmen Malls celebrated International Women’s Day from 6th to 10th March. The five-day event was designed to felicitate women from all walks of life featuring prominent women including accomplished entrepreneurs, influencers, media luminaries and fashion celebrities.
Adorned with flowers and butterflies, Pakistan’s favourite mall hosted numerous women centric activities, makeovers and product testing by major local and international brands. To commemorate women, Dolmen Mall hosted its annual power talk at Dolmen Mall Clifton with women leaders, entrepreneurs, mall shoppers and women supporters. The session engaged an in-mall and online audience to ‘Unleash their Power’ by balancing for better, breaking stereotypes and overcoming challenges in personal and professional lives. The Power Panel included Dr. Urooj Mumtaz Khan, Former Captain of Pakistan Women’s Cricket Team, Azra Maqsood leading advocate of education and health, and the development sector and Board of Director for Wonder Women Association of Pakistan, Mahin Khan, Founder & President, Women Chamber of Commerce, Korangi, Zareen Qureshi, Charter for Compassion and Asma Mustafa Khan, Corporate Trainer and Coach.
Simultaneously, Elin Burns, British Deputy High Commissioner invited British Companies operating in Pakistan to participate in a Business, Trade and CSR Expo at Dolmen Mall on 9th & 10th March, where CEO’s and business leaders from participating British companies like Shell, GSK, Unilever, Reckitt Benckiser, Standard Chartered, British Council and others shared the evolving role of women in Business and Trade with social media influencer and celebrity Faiza Saleem. The women’s day festivities were augmented by the ongoing cricket fervor as team members of the Pakistani Cricket Team joined the women’s day celebrations at the mall.
