ABU DHABI: The event was organized on 23 March 2019 as the ideological nature of the project IDENTITY PAKISTAN has an important significance. The main purpose was to celebrate Pakistan. After the National Anthem and opening speech by Mrs. Solmaz Regi , a lineup of amazing and diverse speakers was organized to motivate the common Pakistani on how the diverse fields help us grow as a nation and a person. The results of the online Photography competition held by IDENTITY PAKISTAN called “Gully Gully” were also announced. This was an activity done in February 2019 to create awareness about what we see on our streets every day, and to invite photographers to take interest in the national presentation. Finally there was a very productive open mic discussion followed by awards distribution and refreshments, photographs and interviews from audience.
Mr. Tofiq Pasha Mooraj – An environmentalist from Tofiq Pashas world talk about our evolution from partition till date and how less we are doing on environmental issues and that more is to be done and every household should take part. He urged the women entrepreneurs to take action on key issues.
Mr. Ahmad Shabbar – A Recyclist from “GarbageCAN” talked about his journeys back and forth from NASA to local Neuclear Setups to finally deciding on recycling and how he tries to solve Pakistan’s greatest problem the Garbage Problem. He displayed his medallion he received in NASA made out of the body parts of the rover that was sent to Planet “Mars”. The audience were excited about his story and comeback!
Ms. Mehreen Hashmi – A Curator and Artist from MHInitiatives. Talked about their ongoing international travel shows happening all over Pakistan the AHANG, Last of this will happen on 30 March 2019 in Alliance Frances. She talked about her journey of victim to success story and how she stood up for herself and changed her life by taking charge. This inspired the ladies to a large extent and her strength is inspirational for many.
Further The Photo Competition celebrity judge was “KADIR KHAN” who also goes by the name of @effneck on instagram with huge local following along with “Zainab H. Nasir” who then announced the winners of ‘Gully Gully’ competition and talked about their views about the photographers a total number of 120 photos were included in the competition. The winning position had a tie between Mrs. Yasmin Ansari (Karachi) and Kumail (Lahore), the runners up were Mr. & Mrs. Saba Khan Awan, and Ms. Sundas Fatima and Mr. Mutaza Mudder.
Open mic session was interesting and the audience showed a great interest in “garbageCAN” project. The event ended with awards distribution and tokens of appreciations to the respected speakers and judges. The audience speakers and judges had a great time with refreshments and after talks. A lot of people met for the first time and a lot of ideas were shared.
Ruralz Inc. is an Interior Design and Architecture firm that has started this Project IDENTITY PAKISTAN on 14 August 2018. This is their give back project and a social patriotic cause towards making a positive image and mindset of a Pakistani, be it inside Pakistan or outside.
Ruralz Inc. believes as interior designers and architects they design and build Pakistan and as a general they want to create a positive ripple effect by showing the world their vision of Pakistan in form of IDENTITY PAKISTAN in diverse fields beyond the barriers of gender, sects, religion, political association so on and so forth.
They have recently launched a web series on 5th Feb 2019 called the ‘HUNARMAND SERIES’ this was also introduced in the event it’s a series about the street artisans of Pakistan and their successful living. This addresses their art and hard work and also urges to find them new venues of sales and growth by showing their talent on different platforms online. It’s a whole season of 12 episodes, 12 artisans inclusive of all of Pakistan. 3 episodes have been released so far.
