KARACHI: The Consul General of Italy in Karachi Ms. Anna Ruffino visited TAF VTI Foundation and was positively impressed with the nonprofit organization’s activities. TAF Foundation, through its award winning TAFF-VTI (TAFF- Vocational Training Institute) project aims to create an entirely new skilled workforce for Pakistan and formalize the previously informal sectors.
Anna Ruffino appreciated the organization’s role in uplifting the underprivileged women in society by teaching them skills that can help them become professionals in the field of personal care, housekeeping and elderly care assistance. During the visit Italian CG also met young girls and women enrolled in various programs and she encouraged them to follow their dreams and never give up.
Ms. Ruffino is one of the young diplomats in Pakistan who is also and ardent supporter of women empowerment and has been playing an active role as Italian Head of Mission in Karachi through various initiatives in cultural, educational and commercial fields.
The TAF Foundation (TAFF) is contributing to the society by empowering women that do not have access to basic rights such as education and help them earn livelihood by offering them professional grooming courses and vocational training programs.
