KARACHI: The second meeting of PREDA Council (PR, Events, Digital and Activation) took place here yesterday to finalise the constitution of a much-needed Council in Pakistan. The Council is being represented by all the big-wigs of the industry, on a national level.
The Council has issued the following statements, “PR, event management, digital communication and activations have all become growing businesses with more and more people joining one or the other of these professions. There is a crying need now, more than ever before, for ethical business practices, mentorship and safeguarding of our rights from defaulting clients and unscrupulous media practices. We felt it is time we had a platform where we could work together and protect our rights, for the way forward now is in cooperation, not competition. We have a solid core team with all the movers and shakers from these fields from Karachi and Lahore, as part of the board. We are confident that this platform will give all its members not only much-needed support and protection from unscrupulous elements but also provide mentorship to those newcomers who have no idea how to conduct themselves as they are not being taught the ropes in any media institute.
Many crucial decisions were taken in the meeting regarding the membership process, which will be communicated in the near future.” Says in press release
