KARACHI: Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited celebrates the 50th anniversary of World Telecommunication and Information Society Day, which has been celebrated annually since 1969. The theme for this year is ‘Bridging the Standardization Gap’. PTCL’s major customer base has been positively impacted by NTP with customer complaints being reduced to 43% in the areas where the exchanges have been upgraded. Through a transformed network, PTCL can provide a faster connection (up to 50mbps) with the improved copper network and even more so with the fiber network (up to 100mbps). PTCL is upgrading its existing copper network to a faster and better fiber network, along with rehabilitation of existing network where required.
