KARACHI: FrieslandCampina Engro Pakistan Limited (FCEPL) participated in the three-day expo of Pakistan Poultry & Dairy Livestock recently at Karachi Expo Centre.
FCEPL stall was placed at the Dutch Pavilion, where the company representatives shared the insights about FCEPL’s commitment to provide safe dairy nutrition with the consumers and the initiatives taken for the developing farmers with the local dairy farmers attending the event. Dr Muhammad Nasir, Senior Manager Scientific & Regulatory Affairs presented the vision and commitment of FrieslandCampina Engro Pakistan in front of an audience of key players. PPDL Expo was also attended by FCEPL Managing Director, Mr. Ali Ahmed Khan. At the occasion he said, “I ensure to attend this exhibition each year and we participate at the Dutch Pavilion. FrieslandCampina Engro Pakistan is a partnership between Engro Foods and FrieslandCampina. FrieslandCampina is one of the largest dairy companies in the world, owned by a cooperative of over 18,000 farmers. This company entered Pakistan in 2016 with a promise to provide better & safe dairy products through our brands like Olpers, Tarang & Omore. We are committed to share the international knowledge of best dairy farming practices with the local farmers so they can increase their productivity per cow and earn sustainable livelihoods. Dr. Nasir also briefed the audience about other initiatives of FrieslandCampina Engro Pakistan that included assisting dairy farmers through extensive advisory services and training programs. FCEPL aims to build the capacity of the small farmer to play a vital role in boosting rural economy through milk sourcing and advisory services. Continuous efforts are made towards improving productivity, inculcating basic knowledge of good farming, providing access to basic farmer financing to ensure development in the dairy sector. Key players of dairy and livestock sector attended the presentation, and the vision of FCEP was highly appreciated by all stakeholders. News Desk
