DUBAI: UAE-based electronics retail giant ECity, which is part of Albatha Holding, one of the largest conglomerates in the UAE, opened the Bigbox Consumer Electronics Store, the company’s latest state-of-the-art store at Ibn Battuta Mall in Dubai, one of the largest themed families shopping malls in the world. The formal unveiling ceremony of the store at Ibn Battuta Mall was attended by Jaouad Dakir, CEO, ECity along with some of the company’s senior officials.
Measuring at around 2000-square-meters, the new establishment is located near the metro link. Bigbox Consumer Electronics Store, which is one of the largest consumer electronics outlets of ECity, is the company’s 10th store in the UAE. The opening marks a key milestone in the electronics retail giant’s ongoing expansion strategy in the local market.
Dakir said: “Our newly inaugurated Bigbox Consumer Electronics Store reflects that our expansion strategy in the country remains on track. In the coming months, we will open more ECity stores in different prime locations across the UAE to reach as many customers as possible and deliver high-quality services and best-in-class customer experience. We are confident that this newly opened establishment will further boost the performance of ECity, whose growth has doubled over the last three years.”
