DUBAI: Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry marked the UAE’s 48th National Day with a special celebration held at its premises today, which included a wide variety of traditional, cultural, festive and CSR-related activities.
The celebration ceremony was attended by H.E .Majid Saif Al Ghurair,Chairman of Dubai Chamber, and H.E. Hamad Buamim, President and CEO of Dubai Chamber, as well as Chamber staff and customers.The exterior façade of the Chamber’s building was draped with a large banner commemorating the occasion, while offices were decorated with the national colours.
During the event, H.E. Al Ghurair said: “UAE National Day is a very special occasion for Dubai Chamber and a time to reflect on the valuable contributions that our Founding Fathers and previous generations which have made the UAE the great nation it is today. We are proud to live in a country where ambitions are limitless and where our wise leadership never stops striving for greatness and progress for its people.”
H.E. Al Ghurair noted that the 48th National Day holds even greater significance, given the UAE’s recent milestone space mission. He added thatnext year’s National Day would be an even bigger as the UAE welcomes the world during Expo 2020 Dubai.
Dubai Chamber’s Chairman went on to congratulate His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and the fellow rulers of the Emirates on the occasion of the 48th UAE National Day. In addition, Dubai Chamberstaff visited the Senior’s Happiness Center in Al Mamzar, Dubai, where they distributed 70 gifts to the elderly. The visit and donation was organised as part of the Chamber’s CSR and UAE National Day activities.
