DUBAI: The Emirates Group celebrated the UAE’s 48th National Day today with a range of activities at its headquarters in Dubai. His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates Airline & Group commemorated the special occasion with a cake-cutting ceremony.
In addition, Emirates Group staff at enjoyed a special Emirati heritage bazaar constructed exclusively for the UAE National Day celebrations. Employees were able to experience henna art, sample traditional Emirati cuisine at a traditional market, and be photographed in traditional costumes. Employees and their families also gathered for live performances by Emirati musical and dance groups. A special area for children also offered face painting and other activities.
Emirates Engineering staff also came together for a formation in front of the Emirates ‘Year of Tolerance’ livery that mimicked the panorama of people of different backgrounds holding hands.
