DUBAI: Expo 2020 Dubai staff representing more than 70 nationalities celebrated the upcoming 48th UAE National Day on Thursday, 28 November. The celebrations began with the UAE National Anthem, followed by a live talk on Emirati culture by a guest speaker from the Sheikh Mohammed Centre for Cultural Understanding. Attendees enjoyed Emirati cuisine from live cooking stations and were able to take a close look at traditional UAE practices such as pottery, falconry, sadu weaving and ayala dancers.
The Emirati culture will be further celebrated during Expo 2020 Dubai, which opens doors to the world between 20 October 2020 and 10 April 2021, coinciding with the UAE’s Golden Jubilee year. The largest event ever staged in the Arab world and the most inclusive and international World Expo in history, the once-in-a-lifetime celebration will see 192 nations and millions of visitors come together to build a brighter future at The World’s Greatest Show.
