Asim Abdul Ghani nominated by BMP for Senior Vice President, FPCCI

KARACHI: Asim Abdul Ghani has been nominated by BMP for Senior Vice President, Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) for upcoming elections scheduled on 27th December 2019. He represents Pakistan Ethanol Manufacturers Association and is Managing Director of Al Abbas Sugar Mills Limited. Asim Abdul Ghani has been nominated in place of this father Abdul Ghani Usman.

This nomination came-up after some objections were raised by Director General of Trade Development Authority regarding Pakistan Sugar Mills Association. After these objected renowned trader Abdul Ghani Usman took his nomination papers back and nominated his son Asim Abdul Ghani in his place.

Now Asim Abdul Ghani will be contesting FPCCI’s 2020 elections for the post of senior vice president as a nominee of Businessman Panel (BMP) against United Business Group’s (UBG) nominee Mr. Hanif Gohar.

Asim Abdul Ghani has served as Chairman for two years for Pakistan Ethanol Association, Chairman of Pakistan Sugar Mills Association (Sindh Zone) and Vice-Chairman Pakistan Sugar Mills Association (Centre). He has also served Power Cement as Chairman, Javaidan Cement as Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director Thatta Cement. In FPCCI he is member of Pakistan-Bulgaria Business Council, Pak-Australia Business Council and Karachi Club. BIZ TODAY MONITOR
