Chapri Group unveils Palm based Calcium Soap ‘Lacto-Plus’ at Malaysia Consulate

KARACHI: Chapri group in collaboration with Consulate General of Malaysia in Karachi and Malaysian Palm Oil  Board (MPOB) hosted the launch of Palm Based Calcium Soap ‘Lacto-Plus’ at lush green lawns of Consulate General of Malaysia in Karachi. Chapri group currently headed by Hanif Chapri was founded by his father Abdul Sattar Chapri 37 years ago. With its roots in the field of agro commodities, today Chapri Group is one of the largest manufacturer & trader of cattle-feed in Karachi, Pakistan.

Official proceeding of the launch event started with recitation of few verses from Holy Quraan and immediately after that Director General of Malaysian palm Oil Board (MPOB) Dr. Ahmad Parveez Ghulam Kadir was invited for welcome speech.

DG MPOB congratulated Chapri Group on the launch of their new product ‘Lacto-Plus’, which is Palm Based Calcium Soap. He also appreciated Chapri Group for being the pioneer user of Palm Kernal Cake (PKC). He informed that Pakistan has only recently stated using Palm Kernel Cake as earlier Pakistani’s had doubts about Palm Kernel Cake. We at MPOB had to put in special efforts to eradicate these doubts. MPOB organized many seminars on Palm Kernel Cake and by-pass fat. Today Palm Kernel Cake and by-pass fat are well known ingredients for animal feeds. DG MPOB felt pleased to see the trade of Palm Kernel Cake and by-pass fat growing and is becoming the first choice for farmers in Pakistan.

Dr. Ahmad Parveez Ghulam Kadir said; “Malaysian Palm Oil Industry is committed and is striving hard to improve quality of palm products and has introduced Malaysian Sustainable Palm Oil (MPSO) standards. By end of year 2020 all Malaysian Palm Oil will be under MSPO certification”.

Chief Executive Officer of Farooq Feeds Mills and co-owner of Chapri Group Mr. Bilal Chapri next to be invited to brief the audience on history of Chapri Group and its futures projects, he said; “the Chapri Group has been serving agriculture community since long. My grand-father Abdul Sattar Chapri dreamt to contribute in this society which was later converted into legacy by my father M. Hanif Chapri in form of Farooq Feeds. He also said that; “Farooq Feeds Mills is the pioneer Palm Kernel Cake in Pakistan and today we are supplying more than 100000 tons of Palm to farmers, traders and feed mills all over Pakistan”.

On future projects CEO of Farooq Feeds said; “We at Farooq Fees Mills are launching an other product which will bring more profitability and quality in the industry, we are today launching Palm Based Calcium Soap which we have named as ‘Lacto-Plus’. We are hopeful that this product will also do good for all concerned”.     

Mr. Johari Minal (Consul-Science) at Consulate General of Malaysia in Karachi and representative of Malaysain Palm Oil Board briefed on technical specifications and benefits of Palm Kernel Cake and newly launched Palm Based Calcium Soap which named as ‘Lacto-Plus’. He said; “calcium soap is a ‘rumen’ (first stomach of cattle) by-pass fat, which is now very essential for dairy cattle, as they have a special digestive system. They requires high energy food. Calcium soap provides energy as it reaches cattle’s end of digestion system with ease and with that also provides the much needed energy and also helps in sufficient growth. Palm based calcium soap also helps in improving fats in milk. Calcium soap also has no side effects”.    

Chief Guest on the evening the Malaysian Consul General in Karachi Mr. Khair-ul-Nazran Abdul Rahman congratulated the Chapri Group for the launching of the Palm-Based Calcium Soap and also congratulated to all who would receive the awards in support of supporting Malaysian Palm Kernel Cake.

The Malaysian CG said; “it is interesting to note that Year 2019 is the most productive and beautiful year insofar as Malaysia-Pakistan bilateral relations. Our relations have grown from strength to strength with the active exchange of visits by our leaders”. He hoped that the bilateral trade performance this year will surpass last year’s figure of US$ 1.47 billion.

“I believe we could achieve this, as of today Pakistan is currently the third largest importer of PKC from Malaysia after New Zealand and Korea with a volume of 296,151 tonnes worth US$ 29.74 million (MYR 118.96 million) from the period of January to November 2019. This is a tremendous increase of 56.8 % as compared to the same period in 2018”.

On concluding note the Malaysian CG said; “we are working with various quarters for expanding the visibility of Malaysian branding in Pakistan. We wish to maintain our pro-business attitude and we wish to see business pursuit beyond agricultural produce. We need to create more innovative and creative ideas on doing business”.

After speeches, commemorative shield + Sindhi Ajrak & gift bags were presented to Malaysian guests which included DG MOPB Dr. Ahmad Parveez Ghulam Kadir, Malaysian Consul General in Karachi Mr. Khair-ul-Nazran Abdul Rahman, Dr. Norman Norawi PERDIM, Malaysia and Mr. Johari Minal (Consul-Science) at Consulate General of Malaysia in Karachi. Shields were presented by panel consisting of Mr. Hanif Chapri, Mr. Asif Chapri, Bilal Chapri, Saad Chapri and Umer Chapri. Top customer’s of Chapri Group were also presented with commemorative shield + Sindhi Ajrak & gift bags as a goodwill gesture from Chapri Group.
