The nation-wide Quiz Masters Tournament, launched in 2014, emerged as a coveted and much popular quiz contest in a few years. The event became instrumental in giving students a break from traditional classroom learning while expanding their knowledge and facilitating them to explore new skills. The Quiz Tournament is an interactive and knowledge sharing session for both the students as well as audience present at the event.

Commenting on the quiz tournament, Mr. Abdulla Nalapad, Chairman of Credence High School, said, “We are glad to host the sixth quiz tournament, following success of the previous editions. We believe this is a great platform for students of schools across the UAE to demonstrate their knowledge, skills and brilliance in their journey towards future leadership. At Credence, we focus on empowering students with the real-life skills and knowledge gaining by practicing creative thought processes and analytical thinking, apart from the academic studies.”

“We initiated the quiz programme to create an interactive platform for students, wherein they would be capable to enlarge their scope for learning, work in a team and also develop their critical thinking. Our objective of conducting this ‘mind sport’ is to motivate students to look beyond their textual knowledge and promote a ‘fun way’ to learn by encouraging students to ‘think out of the box’,” he added.

Ms. Deepika Thapar Singh, CEO – Principal of Credence High School, said, “This year, we are carrying the legacy of the Quiz Masters Tournament forward in its sixth consecutive year. Since inception, the quiz has gained overwhelming response over the years. The programme evolved unarguably as one of the biggest inter-school quiz competitions in the country. Various schools of the UAE have been part of this esteemed event and the number of participants has increased year after year. Teams from schools of different curricula across the UAE participate and eagerly wait for this quiz year after year. We have had more than 25 schools participating every year.”

“We are happy to see the interschool quiz tournament growing with participation of more schools and the message reaching to parents of children from different countries. Every year, we conduct the programme covering local and international current events; but focusing on a specific area so that the participants would be able to get an in-depth knowledge in such topics like ‘Science and Technology in the Atomic Age’, ‘Wildlife and Nature’, and so on,” she added.

In the quiz tournament, each participating school can send a team, comprising of three students. The preliminary sessions will begin from 9 am with written eliminations, gradually moving towards the top eight teams in the semi-finals, followed by the top four teams in the finals.
