For his part, president of Alwane Society, Mr. Ammar Awachi pointed out that this collaboration with Work Smart to organize Bahraini participation in Gulfood is also designed to support women to become economically independent by encouraging female entrepreneurs in events such as Gulfood. “Substantial growth is expected in the coming years for the GCC market relying greatly on the rapid expansion of homegrown brands. There are key indicators in the food sector which are responsible for its further growth such as the growing population and tourism sector, disposable income, and changing dietary habits that continue to demand for food and dining options despite the passive economic conditions.” Awachi added.
