Saudi national wins BMW 750Li at Omega Dubai Desert Classic

DUBAI: Australia’s Lucas Herbert, the winner of the 31st edition of the Omega Dubai Desert Classic, was on hand to conduct the Dubai Duty Free Finest Surprise draw for a BMW 750Li xDrive (Mineral White) following his maiden European Tour title after a nail-biting play-off victory at the Emirates Golf Club.

The Australian player, who drew the winning Finest Surprise ticket no. 0606 in Series 1744 and announced the winner as Mr. Khalid Daghistani, was accompanied by Dubai Duty Free’s Executive Vice Chairman & CEO, Colm McLoughlin, Chief Operating Officer, Ramesh Cidambi, Salah Tahlak, Executive Vice President – Corporate Services and Sinead El Sibai, Senior Vice President – Marketing.

Mr. Daghistani, a 53-year old Saudi Arabian national based in Jeddah purchased his winning ticket online. A regular participant in the Dubai Duty Free Millennium Millionaire and Finest Surprise promotions over the past 2 years, he was delighted to finally win. When asked how he feels about winning the luxury car, he quipped, ‘Thank you very much for the early morning surprise Dubai Duty Free!’

Tickets for the Finest Surprise promotion were on sale at Dubai Duty Free counters at the Emirates Golf Club throughout the Omega Dubai Desert Classic, which was held from 23rd to 26th January. BIZ TODAY MONITOR
