ABU DHABI: Guests arriving into Manchester Airport from Abu Dhabi felt the love as Etihad Airways surprised them with Manchester City-themed gifts in celebration of Valentine’s Day. Gifts appeared among the baggage as excited guests waited for their belongings.
City mascot, Moonchester handed out Manchester City jerseys, mini footballs, scarves as well as model Etihad Airways aircraft painted in City colours. Two very lucky guests were gifted with return flights to Abu Dhabi, courtesy of Etihad Airways.
The words “We love you to the blue moon and back” appeared along the baggage belt, showing Etihad’s support for the Manchester community, the team, and the wider City family.
Yasser Al Yousuf, Vice President, Commercial Partnerships, Etihad Aviation Group, said: “As the principal partner of the club for more than 10 years, we wanted to show our love for the club, the fans and our guests, and couldn’t think of a better way than to surprise them with City-themed gifts for Valentine’s Day.”
Etihad guests travelling on 14 February from Abu Dhabi International Airport across the entire network, will be treated to Valentine’s Day themed desserts in all cabins, designed by the airline’s in-house culinary team. In addition, guests can shop duty free from their seat with Vibe, our onboard lifestyle and shopping magazine and take advantage of a Valentine’s Day sale on a number of the latest fragrances, jewellery, watches and must-have accessories.
