KARACHI: As the number of COVID-19 cases in Pakistan increase, our response to this global pandemic is critical. World Health Organization’s aim with COVID-19 response is to identify, isolate and care for patients quickly. Steps up for prevention and cure for coronavirus as Hussain Lakhani Hospital offered free treatment for the patients and has stablished a fifty bet isolation ward.
Addressing a media briefing on Wednesday, March 18, 2020, Naveed Lakhani , Chairman, Hussain Lakhani Hospital Chairman, along with KMC Director Health Dr Salma Kausar said that coronavirus patients will be treated free of cost in the ward. The state of art isolation ward is already equipped with ventilators, incubators and other necessary equipments, he said, adding that the hospital will fully support the government in hour of need.
He added that the administration of the hospital will try its best to facilitate maximum victims. He asked the business community to come forward and support the government for the noble cause.
KMC Director Health Dr. Salma Kausar, while addressing the press conference said that the Virus is not such a dangerous threat as it is being portrayed. She said that the mayor Karachi was also active for prevention of this disease.
Later, Hunaid Lakhani, Hussain Lakhani Hospital Chairman Naveed Lakhani, MPA Dr Imran Ali Shah, Dr Shazia Shah, Director Health Salma Kausar and others visited the isolation ward.
