KARACHI: Rotary Pakistan Literacy Mission (RPLM) signed a Memorandum of Understanding withPakistan Academic Consortium (PAC) for a social cause of promoting literacy rate and education in the country and provide students with avenues of intellectual/moral and personality development. In this regard, a simple but impressive ceremony was held on Tuesday 7th July 2020. PDG Muhammad Faiz Kidwai, National Chair RPLM and Mr. Mr. Nasir R. Zaidi, Founder & President PAC signed the MoU. Dr Farhan Essa Abdullah, District Governor RID-3271, PDG Muhammad Iqbal Qureshi, District Chair RPLM, PP Justice (R) Majida Razvi, PP Lubna Panjwani, Fahad N. Siddiqui (Gen. Sec PAC), Arsalan Faruqi (Vice President PAC), Khawaja Bilal Mansoor(Chairman NYA) were also present on the occasion.
Under the MoU, PAC would provide an opportunity to RPLM in building liaison with schools, colleges and universities in public and private sector by jointly arranging seminars, conventions, panel discussions, forums, summits, colloquiums etc. Both the organizations will also launch a program of E-learning for Government Schools and out of school children of primary level. Besides, they will also collaborate with each other in translation of syllabus and its conversion into a software which can be used at various levels.
RPLM is a non-profit organization aiming at to achieve higher rate of literacy through collaborative projects with various bodies including government across the country, thus enabling the nation to achieve higher standards of learning at par with global education systems and teaching levels.
Pakistan Academic Consortium (PAC), duly registered under Societies Act XXI of 1860 (Govt. of Pakistan),is the largest platform of educationists endeavouring to bridge the gap between different segments of academia i.e. Schools, Colleges and Universities and envisions to bring ‘decision makers’ at one junction to strengthen the bonds, formulate strategies and work for betterment of education across country.
