DUBAI: The super number plate (V 12) will top a fascinating collection of 90 fancy licensing plates of two, three, four and five digits on offer at the forthcoming 104th open auction of Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA). Plates on offer bear (H-I-K-L-N-O-P-Q-R-S-T-U-V-W-X-Y-Z) codes. registration of bidders starts on Sunday 16 August 2020 and bidding kicks-off at 4:30 pm on Saturday 22 August at the InterContinental Dubai-Festival City Hotel.
interested bidders can register for the auction either online through (www.rta.ae), Dubai Drive App, or with any of RTA’s Customer Happiness Centres at Umm Ramool, Deira and Al Barsha.
The registration will not be available at the auction hall this time around. To ensure the safety, health and wellbeing of the public, RTA will take all precautionary health measures at the venue of the auction in cooperation with the hotel management. It urges participants to follow safety precautions, as is generally followed in the UAE.
Through offering distinctive licensing plates at open or online auctions, RTA is seeking to provide a transparent platform that avails fair opportunities to all bidders. Such plates are appealing to passionate clients seeking numbers that symbolise important events in their lives.

The selling of number plates is subject to a 5% VAT. Each bidder is required to have a traffic file in Dubai, and deposit a security cheque amounting to AED 25,000 addressed to RTA. Bidders have also to pay a non-refundable auction fee of AED 120 at the above mentioned customers happiness centres.
