DUBAI: Today the Arab Fashion Council (AFC) has announced a new exciting project which aims to connect the Arab talents with the French fashion industry. The new initiative, titled “Arabs in Paris”, is a collaboration between the Arab Fashion Council (AFC) and the Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode (FHCM) aiming to enable the Arab designers to showcase their creativity officially in Paris Fashion Week’s calendar for spring/summer 2021.

Located at the prestigious fashion avenue, 233 Rue Saint Honore, Arabs in Paris, is part of the “Welcome to Paris” initiative set by FHCM.
“It is a great initiative to bridge the Arab and French design cultures together and we are very honoured to give this opportunity to our talents to present officially at Paris Fashion Week and to distinguish which Arab designers showcase truly on the official calendar” said Jacob Abrian, Founder & CEO, Arab Fashion Council.
“The project is in line with the Arab Fashion Council’s vision to build an Arab economy based on creativity and to promote the Arab talent son a global scale. This is the first strategic alliance project with our French counterparts” said Mohammed Aqra, Chief Strategy Officer, Arab Fashion Council.
The showroom and presentation space is set to welcome international press and buyers for 6 days from 30 Sep – 5 Oct 2020. The highlight of the first edition of “Arabs in Paris” are: Azzi & Osta, Poise Design, Aboud Jamal, Ecailles, Emergency Room Beirut, Saad Collection and Mada’En.
