KARACHI: Volunteers are considering being backbone of any social welfare organization. The Okhai Memon Youth Services is having a firm structure of hardworking volunteers, they are working with wholehearted enthusiasm for Okhai Memon Community. Volunteers put their all hard efforts in proceedings during Zakat Collection Campaign in 30 days and Hides & Skin Collection to enable organization to support needy and deserving families throughout the year for their Education, Health, Dowry and others.
By seeking the appreciation to these well committed volunteers, OMYS had arranged Appreciation Ceremony and picnic for volunteers at Sun Rise Water Park and Farm House with the Leadership of President OMYS Dr. Aqib Javed Vayani. The event goes very well with addition of speech by Mufti on “Social working rewards in Islam”. In continuation of appreciation, audience pays tribute and honored the services of late social workers and heroes of community “Late Shoaib Noor Muhammad Markatiya”, “Late Younus Noor Muhammad Jiwani”, “Late Yousuf Haji Muhammad Jakhura” and Late Yousuf Kandawala Jakhura, moreover life time achievement awards have been awarded to Late Younus Jiwani and Late Yousuf Jakhura.
The two times Central Fund Collection Chairman, Respected Abdul Sattar Haji Muhammad Jakhura awarded with “Pride of Performance” for their highly committed services for OMYS. He took the challenge of CFC Chairman during COVID-19 pandemic and put his hard services by achieving collection targets. Mr Jakhura and his team did a enormous job for OMYS, authorities honored their services and conveyed heartfelt gratitude.
Chairman Hide & Skin collection Committee Mr. Ashraf Usman Punjwani presented the report on collection of 2020 and appreciated his team and the other volunteers who worked in Hide & Skin campaign.
All the volunteers have been awarded with Medal Shield and Motor bikes, cell phones and gifts were also distributed through lucky draw. After the overwhelming event, volunteers enjoyed delicious dinner.
The event took place in a very generous environment. It cannot be possible without the support of Honorable Donors of Okhai Memon Youth Services. Respected Abdul Aziz Ahmed Kath made huge contribution for the event expenses, moreover Motor Bikes, gifts and other belongings were funded by other Honorable Donors. Authorities of OMYS presented gratitude to donors for their contribution for the event.
Event was hosted by commendable Altaf Ahmed Vayani. He precede the event with firm and interesting pace, audience enjoyed his recitations and experiences.
After dinner, volunteers enjoyed activities in farm house and swimming pool. Enthusiastic event ended with a great enjoyable memories and all audience returned back to home after breakfast at 11 a.m. Transport has been provided to all the volunteers for their easy access to Sun Rise Water Park and Farm House.
The remarkable efforts by chairman Member Coordination Committee of OMYS Zeeshan Abubakar Jakhura and his team, who made this event memorable with their extra ordinary working & management.
