DUBAI: Mrs. Tahira Suriya, winner of ‘Best Cater’ award at CEBO’s 3rd Grand Meet-up organized at ‘The Forest’ on 27th October 2020 was talking candidly with team BizToday after receiving her award. She started off by formally introducing herself and said; “I would like to start off by introducing myself as Tahira Suriya and I belong to memon community”.
When asked who did you get into cooking?, She said; “cooking is something which is taught to almost every girl during their early-time and to me, this skill was transferred by my beloved late mother”.
On question of how she became a home-chef from a normal house wife, she said; “I come from a humble background, where supporting family for its survival sometimes becomes critical. That’s the story behind me becoming a home chef. I started this journey about 06 months back during the lockdown period, by the grace of ALLAH (swt) I got a very positive response from my customers and things start falling in place. I am really proud of my husband Mr. Kashif Suriya who helped me during the course to succeed in this home-based business”.
She also acknowledged the efforts of Mrs. Samia Osama Lari admin and founder of CEBO (Caterers, Bakers and event organizers) and her team for recognizing my efforts which also aligns with the theme of this year’s event ‘Super 2020 Warriors’. This years theme aims to acknowledge those women who contributed massively during the horrid times of Covid-19.
On conclding note, Mrs. Tahira Suriya said; “It is a promise to myself and people that I will continue pursuing my business with the same commitment and will one day win the Pakistan’s best chef award
