Meezan Bank, Pakistan’s first and largest Islamic bank, in collaboration with The Institute of Bankers Pakistan (IBP) and CFO Club Pakistan, hosted a LIVE webinar on the newly launched Meezan Roshan Digital Account and Islamic Naya Pakistan Certificates for Non-Resident Pakistanis (NRPs). Engaged participants from across 36 countries comprising of exceptional entities, business associates as well as banking professionals; the webinar aimed to promote the initiatives and cover the main concerns of NRPs through direct access to concerned representatives.
Meezan Bank has successfully conducted similar awareness webinars in the past to supplement the Government’s initiative of encouraging NRPs to invest in Pakistan through RDA and Islamic Naya Pakistan Certificates.
The webinar panel comprised of Ms. Sima Kamil, Deputy Governor, State Bank of Pakistan, Mr. Irfan Siddiqui, Founding President and CEO, Meezan Bank, Syed Irfan Ali, Managing Director, Deposit Protection Corporation, Mr. Qamar Abbas Khokhar, Acting Ambassador of Pakistan to Vietnam & Laos, Dr. Rizwan Khan, CEO DGRA Global Associates LLC and Mr. Shehzad Dhedhi, Founder CFO Club Pakistan & UK.
The webinar featured a discussion on the important elements of these initiatives lasting approximately 30 minutes and was followed by an interactive question-and-answer session. It was well appreciated by the audience who kept sharing their queries live with the participants who vigilantly responded to the queries right away. More than 450 queries have been registered through this webinar which will be responded directly by the concerned teams.
