Ajman Tourism concludes Emirate’s first Aquathlon for professionals and beginners

AJMAN: Ajman Tourism Development Department (ATDD) organized the first Aquathlon in the Emirate at Al Zorah on Friday, 18th December 2020. The race was held in cooperation with the UAE Triathlon Association, along with the support of Al Zorah Development company, Ajman Police and the Municipality and Planning Department- Ajman, the General Directorate of Civil Defense Ajman, and Critical Infrastructure & Coastal Protection Authority. 

Matt Ortner came in the first place in the Overall Junior Aquathlon- male, Maria Catarino in Overall Junior Aquathlon- female, Omar Alhammadi in Overall Super Sprint Aquathlon-male, Merve Dincsalman in Overall Super Sprint Aquathlon- female, Faris Al Zaabi
in Overall Sprint Aquathlon- male, and Sarra Lajnef in Overall Sprint Aquathlon. 

The race was successfully hosted with the support of Saudi German Hospital in Ajman and Pocari Sweat, keeping every precautionary and safety measure in place including Coronavirus testing, temperature checks for all participants, wearing masks and gloves during the race, limiting the number of participants, and ensuring social distancing.
