Join Hands with Nighat & Hira is the full form of ‘Join Hands with N & H’ (JHWNH), which is a platform founded by Nighat Mehmood and Hira Anis three years.
According to Nighat Mehmood this platform was founded by me and Hira Anis with a clear motive to provide a platform to every girl & woman where they can show their skills and talent by participating, showing and promoting their products. We have seen over the time that there aren’t many platforms for girls and women where they can display their products. We decided to form this group with sole purpose to encourage girls and women to display their products and earn from if too.
We at JHWNH are not limiting ourselves, our group is open for any girl or woman, whatever her hobby or passion is, no matter what she may be dreaming of, we will them all with open arms. It can be anything from being an educationist, or a crafter of any sort be it from paper or from a piece of cloth, thread or any pearls, jewellery or any sort of embroidery.
She further said that she was amazed to see the amount and the type of talent that we have here with us, this type of skills and talent should rule the world if they are given proper exposure and are guided effectively.
Nighat Mehmood further informed that in these horrid times, third anniversary of our group is approaching and we have planned to arrange a competition, where every winner will be declared as Malka e Aliya (which translates to Queen). We will crown every Malka e Aliya with a gold crown and will also award shields to them. We have selected 16 winners, which means we will be crowning 16 Malka e Aliya with Gold Crown along-with shields. Two very honourable and distinguished guests will crown each Malka e Aliya and will also give them shields.
Speaking about her partner Hira Anis, she said; Hira has worked hard and diligently and her work towards this cause also clears the stereotype misconception that says that women don’t support women. Hira has proved this misconception totally wrong by her hard work to promote other women.
JHWNH is open to work with everyone or anyone with only one aim which is to see every women to be empowered. Apart from our main aim which is women empowerment, we also strive to help those in need. A recent example is of village in Attock with nearly 300 homes that didn’t have access to clean drinking water. They had to fetch clean potable water from far off. JHWNH helped in digging of fresh water well and installed a hand pump.
I belong to a pathan family and I am first girl in my family 35 years back to leave home to work Itake pride in saying that I am a source of courage not only for females of my family but also of my pathan community and of my country.
