Leader of Businessmen Panel (BMP) Haji Ghani Usman paid homage to legendary business leader of Karachi and Pakistan and said; “Siraj Kassam Teli was a real life hero of business community of Karachi and of Pakistan. We are deeply saddened by his sudden demise, he was not only a business leader but for us he was like an elder brother too”.
Mr. Ghani Usman was talking to selected media that had gathered at an event arranged in his honour and said; “Siraj Kassam Teli always supported BMP and we are hopeful that new Chairman of Businessmen Group (BMG) Zubair Motiwala will also follow the footstep of his daring leader Siraj Kassam Teli and will raise his voice as fearlessly as his as it was done by Siraj Kassam on the issues being faced by the Business Community of Karachi and will carry on with the mission that was initiated by Siraj Kassam. My best wishes are with Zubair Motiwala”.
Replying to a question on upcoming FPCCI elections, Mr. Ghani Usman said; “Siraj Kassam Teli had promised to support BMP whole heartedly during upcoming elections and he had advised all of this BMG members to support BMP in upcoming FPCCI Elections. This is the reason of BMP being thankful to Siraj Kassam Teli for his support and we pray of patience for his family and kids for sad and sudden demise”.
Replying to another questions about BMP’s performance during last one year, BMP leader said; “our one year’s performance outweighs our opponent’s last five years at helm in FPCCI. Our leader Anjum Nisar convinced Prime Minister Imran Khan and Abdul Razzak Dawood for lowering the interest rate and we did see the interest rates coming down”.
He further said that; “federal government has taken positive steps towards bringing down the prices of sugar. Starting the sugar season early helped in bringing down the prices of sugar to Rs.72/kg Ex-Mills which was around Rs.100/kg Ex-Mills, as per this price retail price should be Rs.75/kg”.
On concluding note BMP leader Mr. Ghani Usman said; “we are hopeful for winning the Elections of FPCCI this time also, but with a bigger margin. Our performance will help us to getting votes”.
