Etisalat today announced its support for the International Human Fraternity Virtual Summit as its official telecom partner.
The summit, held on 4th February, was organised by the Ministry of Tolerance and Coexistence, in cooperation with the Higher Committee of Human Fraternity. It is under the patronage of Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Cabinet Member and Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence.
The insightful sessions and interactive webinars shed light on current issues that need to be addressed with a special focus on ongoing issues around the world, including COVID 19 and its shortcomings upon the communities, as well as the persisting issues of racism, gender equality, policies, intolerance, persecution, and other issues.
In celebration of UN’s International Day of Human Fraternity, Etisalat changed the network name to ‘Fraternity Etisalat’, extensively promoted the summit on its official social media channels and on radio, and launched an SMS campaign.
Etisalat’s bundle of initiatives and services for consumers and businesses during the COVID-19 pandemic had a positive impact on all segments of society. It enabled students in the UAE to access distance learning websites and platforms using its advanced network, with more than 10 million mobile subscribers enjoying free browsing to over 800 websites related to education, health and safety. Etisalat supported business continuity by providing the necessary apps in a work-from-home environment and providing entertainment to families at home. Etisalat is also actively involved in local and international humanitarian and charitable initiatives.
