DUBAI: The Ambassador of Italy to Pakistan, H.E. Andreas Ferrarese along with the Consul General of Italy in Karachi, H.E. Danilo Giurdanella paid his respects to the Founder of Pakistan, Quaid e Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah. His Excellency also laid a floral wreath at the mausoleum. The wife of the Ambassador of Italy Mrs. Albana Planeja and Mrs. Antonella Bartolomucci, wife of the Consul General of Italy also accompanied the Ambassador.
It was a privilege to visit the tomb of the Father of Nation, who was not only a visionary leader but also a great statesman, who envisioned a prosperous and progressive Pakistan and is an inspiration for not only the youth but also many around the world.
The Ambassador and Consul General also visited the old historical places in Karachi such as the TDF Ghar, Empress Market, Karachi Parsi Institute, People’s Square, Flag Staff House and Frere Hall with Super Savari Express. The Ambassador and Consul General of Italy were amazed at the rich history and tradition that Karachi boasts off. Karachi has always been an important economic hub for trade and commerce even before independence but social fabric of the city is rich with history, multi ethnicity and multiculturalism.
The Ambassador and Consul General are keen to promote trade and investment besides cultural exchanges, which are already quite strong. Italy is keen to collaborate in Archaeology, Culture, Restoration and development of public spaces. He thanked the office of Commissioner Karachi, Sindh Police and other public offices that made his visit to Karachi a wonderful experience.
